The following link leads to a photo of a handsome flag representing an
Italian monarchist party, about 3/5 down the page:

Nazionale Monarchico or PNM (i.e. National Monarchist Party) was founded in 1946
as the result of a merger between Concentrazione Nazionale Democratica Liberale
or CNDL (i.e. National Democratic Liberal Concentration) and some minor
monarchist parties. In 1954 the breakaway Partito Nazionale Monarchico or PNM
(i.e. National Monarchic Party) was founded. Then in 1959 PNM and PMP reunited,
first named Partito Democratico Italiano or PDI (i.e. Democratic Italian Party)
and from 1961 on Partito Democratico Italiano di Unità Monarchica or PDIUM (i.e.
Democratic Italian Party of Monarchist Unity).
Refusing a merger with the
Movimento Sociale Italiano - Destra Nazionale or MSI-DN (i.e. Social Italian
Movement – National Right), a number of monarchists founded Democrazia Nazionale
- Costituente di Destra or DN-CD (i.e. National Democracy – Constituent of the
Right) in 1976. Currently, monarchic interests are represented by the Partito
Monarchico or PM (Monarchist Party) and some interest groups.
The generic
Monarchist party flag or rather banner (yellow fringe) was blue; in the centre
appeared a yellow ring surrounding a white five-pointed star, thinly bordered
yellow, itself bearing the Italian royal crown in natural colours. "Generic" as
the star and crown served as symbol to the PNM but also, adding initials, to the
PDIUM.
The colour blue and the white star (witness the state emblem) are
still popular Italian symbols, the crown less so. For the symbol - not enhanced
